This is another of my favorite quotes. It is by the famous writer and self-awareness expert Jean Piaget. This quote says that we are always a little bit self-aware, at least when it comes to our thoughts, actions, and emotions. Here, Piaget talks about the three levels of consciousness, or three types of awareness.
Piaget says the first level is the most basic. This is where we are aware of our body, and our feelings. It’s where we take an inventory of our senses and our body. The problem is when we take that inventory and we start to pay attention, we can’t help but notice something is off. The problem is if we don’t notice something is off, we can become self-aware and think we are doing something wrong.
This is the level of awareness that we get when we begin to think our thoughts. It is when we begin to stop and become self-aware.
I’ve heard this term before but I don’t know how to describe it. Let’s say we take a look in the mirror and we notice that we’ve grown a beard. We then notice that our nose is a bit longer, and we notice that our hair has grown out. We realize “Wow, I’m getting a bit self-conscious about my beard. I’m also realizing that my nose is a bit shorter and my hair is longer.
Just as a person who is self-aware is able to look at themselves in the mirror and see that they have grown a beard, a person who is self-aware is able to look at themselves in the mirror and see that they have grown a beard. Just like the beard growing into the skin of a skin is evidence of growing self-awareness, the growth of a beard is evidence of self-awareness.
As someone who is self-aware there are certain things that are very easy to see. But there are also things that are not that easy to see because in order to see them you first need to recognize them. The things that people are very easy to see are the things they are very often aware of or they are very often aware of all the time.
So our theory is that the reason we are so often aware of things is because we have so much self-awareness. And what we are very often aware of is our own habits, routines, patterns, and ways of being. If we have a habit of shaving our beard when we leave the house, why not? If you have a habit of shaving your beard when you leave the house, you will have a habit of shaving your beard when you leave the house.
So we can see it is because we have a habit of having a beard that we are so aware we know when we leave the house we will shave our beard. And we know that if we don’t shave our beard, we will not shave our beard.
This is the same reason why we do a lot of laundry when we leave the house. We have a habit of doing so, and we know it’s going to be dirty. It’s like our knowledge of our own habits and routines are so strong that we are able to make an automatic decision and decide that we do not want to wash our laundry. We don’t wake up every morning and decide to wash our laundry, because we have a habit of washing our laundry.
